DTP inkjet plate

Inkjet-based plate systems are often associated with low-end applications. However, when properly implemented, they are capable of delivering true commercial printing quality.

StudioRIP DTP plates are specifically designed for this purpose. While based on conventional aluminum CTCP plates, they incorporate a dedicated inkjet-receptive coating that enables precise inkjet imaging without compromising print quality.

In combination with the StudioRIP Droplet-to-Plate system, these plates are routinely used for high-quality offset printing, typically at 175 lpi with conventional AM screening. The result is sharp, well-defined halftone dots, clean edges and stable tonal reproduction, comparable to traditional CTP workflows.

The processed plate behaves as a fully conventional CTCP plate, compatible with standard offset presses and production environments.
